Timeline of $GORN
Gorn is an Interstellar DAO that has traversed a wormhole and arrived into the metaverse on 10/2020, TGE of $GORN on Ethereum mainnet. In the early beginnings of Gorn, we as community started out as the biggest guild in a P2E game (play to earn blockchain gaming) titled CSC (acquired by Animoca), as well as P2E consultancy focused on the WAX blockchain ecosystem during the first NFT bull run in 2020-2021. In 2021 Gorn Hegemony DAO teamed up with Roll (New Yorker Social Money start-up) and TipCC (Discord crypto wallet and bot) to create the blockchain infrastructure of $GORN, specifically by integrating the $GORN token on Roll Rewards, Roll web wallet, Roll discord wallet and on the Web3-powered discord server for the Gorn community. In 2022 Gorn shifted gears and exited most digital and traditional asset positions, marking the end of the first post-covid bull run in equities, NFTs and crypto.
The very first $GORN Social Campaign occurred in 2021-2022 where members could earn Gorn tokens by contributing to the DAO operations in the P2E title CSC. Additionally, were weekly $GORN airdrops launched on Gorn discord, through the TIPcc and Roll discord bot.
During the short-lived bear market in 2022-2023 Gorn focused on creating an actionable investment strategy for meme coins. During this time the Gorn DAO discord bot has been deployed to communicate actions in the Gorn treasury. 2023 the founder of Gorn, Ryu attended the Roll Radio podcast to talk about the Web3 journey of Gorn, global markets, crypto and what’s happening in $GORN. 2023 was also the year Gorn issued his bullish sentiment towards meme coins. Previously, Gorn was early investor in the meme coin Shiba Inu (SHIB) (link). Moreover, did the Gorn team release a trackrecord statement, introducing the Gorn-o-matik Discord bot that generates long-term swing signals, and the Gorn SR scalping algorithm written in ESL, a futures trading algo focused on arbitrage.
In 2024 Gorn Hegemony DAO participated in the MetalCore Beta 2.0 - 2.5, launching its next clawsome social campaign. The $GORN Social Campaign 2024 had the purpose to incentivise cooperative gameplay with the aim to increase farming yield and advantages for members that were playing the MetalCore Beta. The Gorn community finished in the MetalCore Barony tournament as 4th place.
Manoeuvrability in Finance and Management
Gorn Hegemony DAO builds an educational platform to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit of traders and blockchain enthusiasts. An example would be how Gorn generates insightful content filling the gap between blockchain beginner to crypto trader, or retail trader and algorithmic trader. Gorn is igniting interest into basic and advanced topics, such as blockchain play to earn opportunities, trading systems research and automation of trading strategies.
Gorn provides rigorous research and development in the field of trading strategy development, utilizing management techniques such as Kanban, Kaizen (CI) and Lean management. Day to day DAO operations include trading strategy analysis, implementation of strategy automation, strategy coding in EasyLanguage and technical analysis of assets. There is a huge knowledge gap between retail traders and institutional traders and Gorn DAO provides a solution for that: gamified Web3-powered financial literacy.
The path of an aspiring retail trader ain't easy. They are facing a complex array of risks and obstacles. Examples such as financial psychology risks, reinvestment risk, idiosyncratic risk, market risk, counterparty risk, currency risk, interest rate risk, trading costs, slippage and taxes. This is where Gorn comes in by providing guidance on the acquisition of knowledge. Gorn Councillors, like Ryu (MSc in engineering management, trader) for example, generates research and coaching content for the community.
